Gold rate today FAQ

What is the gold rate today in India?

Gold Ledger shows the current indicative reference rate for 24K, 22K and 18K gold per gram. Retail jewellery prices may differ because of location, dealer premiums, making charges, GST and other costs.

What is the difference between 24K, 22K and 18K gold?

24K is near-pure gold. 22K contains about 91.7% gold and is commonly used for jewellery, while 18K contains 75% gold and a larger proportion of other metals.

How do I calculate the value of my gold?

Multiply the gold weight by the applicable per-gram rate for its purity. Gold Ledger's calculator performs this calculation automatically using the current reference rate.

Is the displayed gold rate the final jewellery price?

No. The displayed rate is an indicative gold reference value. A jewellery bill can also include making charges, GST, wastage or other retailer-specific charges.
